"The act of creation often begins impulsively, without any thought of the outcome. Impulse is followed by consciousness and thought. There is an awakening of consciousness to the events unfolding - an elevation of thought- through the process of making. I have tried to capture some spirit of developing form based on very real elements, some fragmented, in my painting.
